It is the most challenging and toughest decision which changes your entire life. It may be a job, it may be your passion, it may be some higher education and many more. First of all, to make a decision, you need to know all the options available for you after completion of your B.Tech. So, we are up with all the available career options after completion of your B.Tech. Look at those options and try to choose the option which suits you.
There are plenty of options available for B.Tech students. Some of them are:
1)Campus Placements:
Campus Placements is nothing but a program by which universities or colleges provide jobs to students who are going to complete their graduation. This program is conducted in many colleges. Students who don’t have any interest to pursue higher education can choose this option. Choosing this way can make you financially independent at a very less age. The type of jobs varies from branch to branch and package also varies from company to company. This step is not too tough if you are well prepared. To get a job in campus placements one should prepare for the following:
1)Aptitude and Logical reasoning
2)Group discussions
3)Technical interview
4)Personal interview

2)Go with higher studies:
After completion of B.Tech, one can choose M.Tech or MS in the stream of your choice. GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is one of the entrance examination tests for pursuing M.Tech. If one got a good score in the GATE exam then they will get seats in prestigious colleges like IIT’s, NIT, and many popular colleges. For pursuing MS(Master of Science) in foreign one should attempt exams like GRE(Graduate Record Examination) and get a good score. Along with that, one should get a good score in exams like TOFEL(Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS(International English Language Test System) to prove their English proficiency. One should have a clear vision when pursuing higher education after B.Tech because it may be the last chance for them to build their career.
3)Become an Entrepreneur:
An entrepreneur is no one but a person who manages all the tasks related to finance for any organization or who starts a business and willing to risk his money because he won't even know whether he gets profit or loss. To become an entrepreneur it is better to pursue an MBA(Master of Business Administration). Most of the people still doubt doing MBA after completion of B.Tech. Because generally, people pursue their MBA after completion of BBA. But choosing an MBA after B.Tech is a risky choice but still achievable. One should work hard on basics. Nowadays many B.Tech students are choosing MBA. So still it is risky, can choose it if they have an interest.

4)Crack Civil Services:
Civil service is an exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) nationwide to recruit for positions like IAS(Indian Administrative Service), IFS(Indian Foreign Service), and IPS(Indian Police Service). Cracking the Civil Service exam is not at all an easy thing. It requires a lot of dedication, determination, hard work, patience, and a lot of positive attitudes. Getting any of these posts is not at all easy. The reason is almost every year 10 lakh people write this exam and only 1000 people get selected. This is what the success rate is. Actually it includes 3 phases.
1)Preliminary
2)Mains
3)Interview
After completion of these 3 tests, one should get a score of 2025. One should keep their heart and soul to crack this and have to be very serious. There is also a limitation to attempt this. The limitation varies for students. For general category students, it is limited for 6 times.
5)Joining Defence:
Indian defense includes the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Airforce. There is an exam called Common Defence Examination(CDS) conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) for enrolling in Indian Military Academy, Indian Airforce Academy, and Indian Naval Academy. This exam is only for unmarried candidates. There are many exams for joining defense. But a career in defense is very prestigious.

6)Getting a job in PSUs:
Public Sector Undertakings(PSU) are the jobs which most of the engineering graduates wanted to earn. These are the government jobs with a good package and with job security. To get a job in PSU there are 3 ways.
1)Through Gate exam
2)Through entrance test
3)Direct recruitment from institutions like IIT’S, NIT’S…
These jobs have a high demand in the market because of its’ advantage. Getting a job in PSU’S is a dream for many b.tech students. People try to get that job and a high level of competition is present in this sector.
7)Trading:
You might feel a bit confused if I say trading can be one of the career options after your b.tech. If earning money is your only objective, then trading is the best option for you. But it has some risk and there is no guarantee for the money you invested. It shouldn’t be after b.tech, but you can also start trading now itself. It can be done with some simple basics and knowledge in trading. There are many successful people who succeeded in trading. You can take Warren Buffet as an example. He started trading at the age of 12. He is an inspiration to many traders. You can choose it as a career or part-time job.

8)Teaching:
Teaching is one of the best professions that one can do. It is a very respected and prestigious job. It is a safe and secure one. For teaching, one needs a lot of patience to tackle students and the capability to explain in a better way. But for earning more money it is better to choose teaching after a master's degree with any specialization.

9)Become an expert:
Companies these days are looking for people who are especially skilled in some streams like artificial intelligence, ethical hacking, etc. So learning these courses and becoming a professional in those courses will increase your demand in the market. These are also high paying and you get a very good package as soon as you finish your graduation. There are some courses which are in demand at present. They are
1)Artificial intelligence.
2)Data Science
3)Blockchain
10)Follow your passion:
This is the most ear feasting word for many people. Your passion can be singing, acting, dancing, story writing, photography, etc. This might be a risky option but this is the only option for you if you are really passionate about your passion. Success has no guarantee and financially not at all stable. You have to think about everything before choosing this. If you think you are ready and confident then choose it.
