Sachin Tendulkar, who was the Bharath former international cricketer and also former captain of the Bharath national team. He is the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. He is the highest run-scorer of all time in international cricket.

Childhood:
1. Tendulkar spent his childhood in the Sahitya Sahawas cooperative housing society in Bandra.
2. As a young boy, Tendulkar used to fights with new children in school. He also interested in tennis.
3. Ajit introduced the young Sachin to cricket in 1984. He introduced him to Ramakant Achrekar, a famous cricket coach and a club cricketer. In the 1st meeting, Sachin didn't play well.
4. Ajit requested the coach to give him another chance to play, but he watched him hiding behind a tree. This time Sachin played well.
5. Achrekar was impressed with Tendulkar's talent and advised him to shift his schooling to Sharadashram Vidyamandir high school, Dadar.
6. Sachin was coached under the guidance of Achrekar at Shivaji Park in the mornings and evenings.
7. He practiced for hours on end in the nets. If he becomes exhausted, Achrekar would put a one-rupee coin on the top of the stumps, and the bowler who makes Tendulkar out will get the coin otherwise Sachin will get it like that he won 13 coins which he considers to be a valuable prize in his whole life.
8. In 1987, at the age of 14, he attended the MRF pace foundation in Madras to train as a fast bowler, but Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee, who took a world record of 355 test wickets was unimpressed, suggesting that Tendulkar should focus on his batting only.
9. In his season in 1988, Tendulkar scored a century in every innings he played. He involved in an unbroken partnership 664 in an inter-school game against st.xavier's high school in1988 with his teammate Vinod Kambli, who would also go to represent India.
10..At 14, Tendulkar was selected to Ranji trophy in the season 1987-88. A year later on Dec 11, 1988, Tendulkar played his first test match and stood with century not out. Tendulkar finished the 1988-89 Ranji season as Bombay's highest run-scorer.
11. He also made an unbeaten century in the Irani Trophy match against Delhi all the start of the 1989-90 season.
12. His 1st double century (204*) was for Mumbai while playing against the visiting Australiana team at Brabourne stadium in 1988.
13. He is the only player to score a century on debut in all three of his domestic first-class tournaments(the Ranji, Irani and Duleep trophies).

career:
1. Tendulkar took up cricket at the age of 11, made his first test match against Pakistan on 15 November 1989 in Karachi.
2. He is the only player to score 100 international centuries in the world. He is the first batsmen to score a double century in a one day international and he has a record for more runs in the test as well as ODI, and the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.
3. He played 664 international cricket matches scoring 34,357 runs
4. In 2001, he was the first batsman to complete 10,000 ODI runs in his 259 innings.
5. In 2002, halfway through his career, he was ranked as 2nd greatest test batsmen of all time, behind Don Bradman as well as 2nd greatest ODI player of all time behind Viv Richards.
6. Tendulkar was a part of the Bharath team that won in 2011 world cup, his first win in six world cup appearances of Bharath.
7. In 2003 he was the player of the tournament. In 2010, he won Sir Garfield Sobers trophy for cricket of the year at ICC awards.
8. In 2010, Time magazine included Sachin in the top 100 lists as one of the "Most influential people in the world".
9. In 2012, Tendulkar was nominated to Rajya sabha. He was also the 1st sportsperson and 1st person without any background in politics.
10. He awarded the honorary rank of the group caption by the Bharath Air force.
Retirement:
1. In December 2012, Tendulkar announced his retirement from ODI's.
2. In October 2013, retirement to T20's.
3. On 16 November 2013, after playing his 200th test match. He gave retired in all forms of cricket.

1994: Arjuna award, by the government of India in recognition of his outstanding achievement in sports.
1997-98: Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, an award given for achievement in sports.
1999:Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award.
2001: Maharastra Bhushan award, Maharastra's state highest civilian award.
2008:Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest award.
2014:Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.
