Mussoorie is a hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand with an elevation of 2005 meters. It is about 35 km from the state capital Dehradun and 290 km north of the national capital New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range.

It is rich in flora and fauna with views of surrounding snowcapped Himalayan peaks. Mussoorie is famous for one of the oldest Tibetan-style Buddhist temples in India. Although Dalailama presently resides in Dharmashala, his original settlement is visible as “Happy Valley” in Mussoorie.

Mussoorie also has one of the most haunted places in India.”Lambi Dhar mines” which is situated on the outskirts of Mussoorie, these mines form a piece of deserted land where there is no civilization.
